Al Konieczny

At 10 years old, Al’s first task at Karl’s was to bring in the wood to keep the shop warm. He remembers warming up and cleaning off trucks for the snow plowers so when they came in they were ready to go.

Some years later, after graduating  from the STCC civil engineering program Al joined his father’s business full time, working in the field until he took full ownership in 2024.

Most times, Al can be found around the shop handling the day to day business, but on some days you can find him out in the field doing what he loves most, site work!

Al and his wife Jo-Ann have three children, two dogs, and 12 chickens. They spend their free time visiting their children living in Vermont and Canada, watching hockey games, and volunteering in the community. They are happy to have their middle son Will, a Smith Vocational graduate, working at the business.
